Once a common sight in a blacksmith’s shop or on a farrier’s wagon, an anvil is an important tool in the forming of metal into shape for latches, horseshoes, or any iron metal products required in day to day living. Our miniature anvil is made of solid sand cast bronze – a fine addition to any gentleman’s, or lady’s, desk.
Smaller versions, like our anvil here, are used in jewelry stores for fine detail work.
Actual dimensions: 4″ long x 1-1/2″ tall x 1-1/2″ wide at the base. Top flat surface is 5/8″ wide. Due to the natural sand casting process, there may be slight dimensional variances.

Our cast metal ornaments and accessories are made in the USA in a small village foundry. Using the old world method, the pattern is pressed into sand to create the mold. Bronze ingots are heated to over 1500 degrees. Sparks and molten metal are seen flying as impurities are skimmed off and the hot liquid is poured into the molds. In the cleanup and finishing process, each sign is handled multiple times by foundry artisans ensuring a final product that you will be proud to own.
